Our physiotherapists use the heel pressure of their foot to gently loosen the spinal joints. Then we advise our patients how to maintain and increase their mobility by using a “ BACK BLOCK”. This back block helps to counteract the day-long compressive forces of standing and sitting. It helps to elicit pressure changes within the discs to assist them healing by improving their metabolism and also helping them to gain more hydration and height.
Healthier, more compliant discs mean decreased stiffness in the joints within the spine, which in turn means a more mobile and stronger back!
